Saturday Evening with Yves Rocher

Hello! How’s your weekend? This weekend I’ve chose to pamper myself. Other than sleep… I and my friend, Salmi, went for make over.

Kebetulan Yves Rocher Alamanda ada promotion untuk produk terbaru, Hydra Vegetal.

Cuaca sekarang kan sangat panas masa tengah hari. Walaupun dah minum air more than 1.5L sehari, kulit tetap rasa kering. Seharian keje dalam sejuk air-cond pun boleh mengeringkan kulit. So we do really need a product to hydrate our skin from the outside too.

We starts our session by analyzing our skin.

Miss Nina’s my assistant through out the day and every time I went there. She’s very friendly, and helpful. She helps me to check my skin’s hydration. The result’s not so good… 33%. It indicates I have a dry skin. Well, I already know that since I keep on feel thirsty all the time.

I’ve gone through the following steps;

I love the feeling. Very cool. Not as cool as mint but I feel like I‘m applying wet tissue on my face every single minute. Very refreshing!! I even feel like to apply it to all over my body!

When we have finished, here’s the result…

58%. Any result is good as long as it is above 50%.

Impressive. SO many equipment!

Well, there are two makeup artists. Mine wasn’t really friendly boooooo

She feels unease when I keep on asking what product/item that she applied to my face. Of course I want to know every single thing that you’ve applied to my face… at least it can increase the potential for me to buy Yves Rocher’s makeup products. Don’t you get it miss?

What I can recall during the session’s;

She starts with eye’s area – eyelid’s sticker (makes your eyes bigger), foundation, eye based, light pink eyeshadow (based), brown eyeshadow (shading), eyeliner.

Then baru masuk bahagian seluruh muka.

Foundation – loose powder – pink blusher – eyebrow shadow (chocolate) – mascara – bulu mata palsu (optional).

Alahhhh, very basic lah. Bukan macam artis nak naik pentas.

I have decided to get their perfume. FYI Yves Rocher adalah perfume number 1 di France. Spray sikit je dah cukup.

Untuk product Hydra Vegetal, I’ve got their Gel Crème (RM59.00), FREE toner, and LUCKY DRAW Gel Crème too! And the remaining two down there are coconut bath cube, and bath net… FREE GIFT!

Alright… I hope ramai yang akan jadi penggguna Yves Rocher sekarang ni. Worth it for money.

A few tips to share here are – for this kind of promotion;

• We have to control ourselves
• Know our nawaitu (intention) to go there
• Know the types of promotion – requires to buy with a minimum purchase or not
• What are the activities included in that package
• Try to avoid additional charges; Fake eyelashes (RM15), whole softcopy picture; 1cd (RM100), Laminate (RM10) --- these are ridiculous things that you should minimize your expenditure – you don’t even need it. Usually these are done by the ‘outsource’… not by the brand itself – Rational!

It has been a year

30 October 2011 - It has been a year since I had my 1st flight, 1st time to go to the overseas, 1st time I feel I am leaving my most precious gifts in Malaysia.

OMG... how should I proceed with this writing when my eyes are filled with tears. During that last day in Malaysia, I was excited + happy. Siapa yang tak happy to get the opportunity to study and live in the overseas + it's during winter season.
But...
I forgot that...

• I was travelling ALONE - 1st experience + LONE RANGER!
• I am the 'GPS' in my family (yes.. they were sesat masa OTW balik)

During this time, I keep on thinking about negative thing which I don't want to list it out here. I will totally put the blame on me if something happen to them. After a few minutes, I keep myself calm. I pray for their safety and I hope Allah will protect them and keep them safe. I said to myself, how bad my feeling worrying about them, they feel more worry about me. Again I repeat... I was travelling alone!

Guess what, I was smiling while taking this picture. Masa ni pk seronok + excited je.

I would like to make a confession, I cried non-stop since my final huggy wuggy time with my family. (It was the 1st time I felt the 'real' hugs from emak, ayah, and my brother... WHY it does happen masa nak fly? :/)

I passes the immigration, customs gate with huge cries! Masa lepas the 1st gate, on my way to aerotrain, I feel like to lari back and tak nak fly. Things that stop me from doing it are; my parents have PAID for the flight ticket, I have to WORK there, FRANCE GOVERNMENT has arranged everything for me, I am carrying the RESPONSIBILITY from my supervisor, mine and my family's DIGNITY, I want to keep myself AWAY from peoples that hurt me a lot here. This is one of the thing that I am able to do - study in France!

Dah la kene 2-3 times kena lalu gate, scan, tanggal beg, bukak beg laptop. I still remember ada sorang pegawai perempuan tu senyum je when she saw me crying. I stopped nanges masa jalan masuk dalam flight. Cari tempat.

Then dah pakai seat belt semua, I read buku doa yg emak bekal kan. During in the airport, she sempat mark some of the pages yang penting untuk dibaca. I have started to cry again while reading that book. Masa tu... I was looking outside of the mirror n rasa nak terjun je. Maybe this is one of the reason tingkap kapal terbang is sealed!

Whatever it is, that was such a great memory I have ever had. It makes me appreciate and love my family more!

"You will never appreciate what you have until you lose it!" - Eat that words Shakirah! Thank Allah these 'gifts' are taken away within just for 2 months. I believe everything is happening for a reason.

Until now, I feel phobia when my parents are sending me to the airport. Walaupun hanya pergi ke KL, the feeling tu rasa macam nak fly jauh je.

Dear Emak, ayah, and Bae, I LOVE 3 of you so much!

1st of all, thanks for the invitation. Me and my family sangatlah berbesar hati menerima jemputan ke majlis reception yang telah berlangsung pada minggu lepas di Dewan Merak Kayangan, KL ni.

We arrived during both of them tengah bersanding. So while we are eating, all of the ‘procedure’ adat is ongoing on the stage – merenjis air mawar or tepung tawar.

I missed to capture the main dishes because its smell, and look really good AND it tastes REALLLLLYYYY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

So here is the dessert. I took this yummy creamy cheese cake.

Done with dessert, its time to meet the bride and groom.

This bride was wearing a very beautiful dress. I LOVE IT + her makeup looks really natural but stunning as a queen of the day. And here is the pelamin. Simple but so lovely with the flowers decoration.

 

I love the goodies given. Its a piece of cake with chocolate sauce as the topping. So yummy!!!

P.s: I don’t know if you remember or not in my previous post, I have mentioned about Safuan. He is one of my friend in France. He studies at the same place as where I have been placed.

Yves Rocher Alamanda

Yves Rocher has opened a new branch – Alamanda Putrajaya. Since this is a new opening shop, the salesgirls are very friendly and helpful – same like in France. *thumbs up*

I look at the window and there are some promotion pack for perfume – I will drag my brother to come here soon. I get something for myself and be a member of Yves Rocher (my goal actually).

The lipstick from this brand is VERY GOOD!!! Its really moisturize my lips. This is a 'worth-it' product to get.

Smile… Smile… Smile…

Me: Hye. Today I nak beli perfume set yg tgh sale tu (sambil straight to men’s perfume area)

… wondering why is the price is double pulak…

Salesgirl: That one is for cologne - For Her

Me: Gulp. Then yang ada miniature ni berapa? Can I smell it again?

… I smelled 3 perfumes …

Me: How much will the single perfume cost?

… Calling my brother …

Me: Wei, yg ada miniature tu is cost RM 1 more than without miniature.

Brother: NVM just get with miniature.

… Hang-up and keep on smelling …

Me: This one (without miniature) smells good. I will take this one.

Time: after shopping

Venue: Inside kereta biru

Brother: Mana perfume?

Me: This. (while taking out from my handbag) – NO PLASTIC BAG DAY

Brother: Where is the miniature?

Me: Owh miniature tu is another set. This one is single and no promotion. The smell is much better than the one with miniature (without any guilty feeling for wrong information)

… I am letting him smells the samples on paper …

Brother: Hmm… wangi but I couldn’t differentiate them

Moral of the story:

• Need to prepare some extra budget OR just say NO to the goods
• Make sure check the type of perfume is for HIM or for HER
• Don’t get over excited while shopping because you will missed the important point/term

Travelling: Nantes – Paris

I have to travel 1 day early because my flight is at 11am. It is quite impossible for newbie like me to rushing at the airport for flight check-in. Thank you to Egide, who sponsored my train ticket and nearest hotel for one night. :)

The journey from Gare de Nantes to CDG Airport takes about 3hr and 10 min. My train departs from Nantes at 1435 and arrived at 1747. Nervous, excited… I feel very happy! I enjoyed every single second while travelling. I said to myself, “Look… you will never get to see this view later. You are leaving FRANCE!!!”

After 2 hours…

Bila nak sampai nehhhhhhhh!!! Ngantuk seh.

Finally I arrived and fetch by Abu Hanifa and his cousin (I forgot his name). They fetch and bring me to the hotel, Hotel Ibis Roissy or its another name All Seasons Hotel.

Its time for check-in the hotel!!!!

Lone Ranger for End to End Tram Station

Sebelum pulang, nak la jugak ushar Nantes city ni… cuci mata. I have monthly ticket for TAN public transportation. This ticket gives me unlimited access and time to every of public transports here (bus, tram, boat). So I use it to see the environment through out the journey over those uncommon line. FYI, there are 3 lines for tram;
Line 1 – Francois Mitterrand <> Beaujoire
Line 2 – Orvault Grand Val <> Gare de Pont Rousseau
Line 3 – Marcel Paul <> Neustrie
       
These 3 lines are joined together at Commerce.
Journey that I took today;
Commerce > Francois Mitterrand > Commerce

Ada jugak tempat nama Laurier

Commerce > Gare de Pont Rousseau > Neustrie > Commerce

Lawa kan station bus dorg

Majority rumah banglo/lot kat sini either garaj kereta mcm ni or bawah tanah

It requires 1 hour for half of the journey (go and return) from commerce to one end. Since I feel hungry and I don’t want to miss Solat Zohor, I just went to one side of line 2 and 3.
Then I went to L’Oasis (again) to have a Chicken Kebab for my lunch. Then I went to Tourism Center (AGAIN) and get some more postcard.

Hari-hari Terakhir di Nantes, France

Minggu terakhir di France diisi dengan 2 cara; sehari berehat, sehari keluar jalan2. Bukan apa, bila keluar je mesti duit pun keluar jugak. Susah nak tahan napsu membeli ni. Hari tu keluar pegi beli souvenir utk keluarga dan teman2 di Malaysia. Ada la beli sikit2. Bawak duit pun limit je. Terima kasih la Safuan sebab temankan for that day. Aku ingat nak belanja hang makan hari tu, tapi duit tak cukup. Hahahaha! Lain kali aku belanja hang naaaa.

Destinasi pertama utk cuci mata, Passage Pommeraye.

Ini adalah kedai tempat org kaya2 shopping. Memang exclusive la tempat ni. Decoration for Xmas pun lawa. Kedai pertama… kedai chocolate. Fuh, jakun tengok chocolate berbentuk kasut tinggi.

 

Seterusnya tourist guide tu bawak ke kedai gift yg comel2 dan modern design. Perghh mmg kena dengan selera den. Siap ada talipon stilettos! Merah mak ngah lagi u~. Tapi tak de la mahal sngt. Murah jugak harga barang kat sini. We were there for like half an hour sebab I couldn’t decide what to buy. Then bila dah decided, dah que, endup tak jadi. HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Maafkan patik wahai Monseur Safuan! >.< Sebab ape cancelled? “Do I need this? What is the purpose keluar hari ni yea?” - “Yela2.. beli choc and souvenir SAHAJA!”.

Jadi niat pun diperbetulkan. Oleh kerana perut agak2 nak berbunyi, we both singgah ke kedai Pattisier (pastry). Pilihan ku adalah Pain au Raisin.

We go straight to the chocolate’s shop sambil makan roti tu. As usual, my translator tolong bacakan ingredient chocolate2 yg dijual.. takut ada alcohol ke ape ke. (Lupa lak amik pic kedai choc tu) =(

Then nak cari gift mcm magnet ke, keychain ke, postcard ke. Kitorg pun pegi la kat Tourism Center. HAHHHH!!! ada dijual kat situ. Senang keje! End up beli postcard. Jimat dan bole beli byk. Keychain n magnet agak tak affordable utk dibeli. Maaf yea kawan2. So shopping postcard kat situ jela.

Utk lunch, Restaurant L’Oasis menjadi pilihan. Restaurant ni jual kebab halal. I tried Chicken Mexican. Sodapppp!

Perut pon dah kenyang, duit pun dah habis, then time utk balik la. Tp sebelum balik, exercise dulu ke Fmac.

 

Wow.. kedai ni adalah kedai computer yang beeesarrrrr! Cakap je nak ape, semua ada. And murah (jika gaji anda dalam euro yea). Booth Apple jadi tumpuan. Kagum nengok computer2 and skrin2 besar gedabak kat sini.

Then I saw iPad… jual longgok mcm ni je okay!!! o_O
