Hari Raya makin menjelang

Alhamdulillah, sudah 17 hari umat Islam berpuasa. Hari ni jumaat dan hari nuzul quran. Selangor cuti. So the whole day kemas rumah yang dah macam tongkang pecah, ganti gas baru (Mesra Petronas 1300-888-427), tukar langsir, basuh baju berbakul-bakul, masak for berbuka puasa, and finally, sambung menjahit sebab drama kat tv sangat boring... kalau tak couple gaduh, admire nak kawen, tak pun nak bolot keuntungan syarikat sorang2, oh trend terbaru, pukul2 a.k.a gangster... 

=.= boooring.

while menjahit, layan la lagu rock kapak abg awie kat youtube..

terbayang pulak macam que haidar dalam movie Rock... sapa yang tengok tau la scene mana..

oh.. let me introduce you to the background... that is my new langsir.. do we need to have name for it?

It was quite last minute confirmation with Adlina untuk pegi skali ke kenduri Fida ni. Long time tak meet her… n also Fida.

We have arrived there just “ngam2 sui” waktu lunch. Pengantin lelaki tak sampai lagi.

So kitorg pun buat rumah kenduri mcm rumah sendiri. Kejap lepak luar, kejap lepak dalam rumah, kejap posing kat pelamin. Just both of US!

We update ourselves with the latest juicy gossips among our friends. Adlina always keep in touch with them. So many of our classmates who has married, or at least engaged. She said its kind of psycho when everyone is moving to the next step while … ermm… I think she’s going to the next step, next year… or 2 years? Pfftttt.

Owh I forgot to mentioned that we meet Syafinas (peanut) and Roshaniza (Rosalinda) and also Mr Air Force, Zaini. Those were a part my classmates 5 Bijaksana (memang kita bijak2) masa di SMK Dato’ Onn Butterworth.

While lepaking, the Fida’s sister, Diba asked whether we’ve got the goodies? Adlina yang lurus pun replied dah dapat. But me was so muka tak malu said, yes2, we’ve got the small one. But the other one (BIGGER BAG) tak dapat lagi. AND right after that, we’ve got the BIGGER bag too! Thank you fida n family.

 

I just add Adlina’s face and exclude mine because of … TOO EXCITED FACE!

 

This is the 2nd time posing because we have missed the 1st session sebab we were sebok posing kat pelamin.

Sorry fida… kitorg dah rasmi dulu pelamin tu walaupun pada awalnya Adlina kata,”Mana boleh, pengantin tak rasmi lagi!”.

Happy wedding to you and your husband! I am sooooo happy for you!

This is one of the simplest ways to lilit selendang. So ladies, jom cuba style lilitan simple ni.

Step 1: Adjust kedudukan selendang seperti dalam gambar. pin kan.

 

Step 2: Lilit bahagian yang panjang ke atas. Pin kan dengan jarum peniti.

 

Lepaskan ‘ekor’ selendang ke belakang supaya nampak seperti veil pengantin.

Dah siap.

Alhamdulillah. Finally my favorite elegance exclusive selendang is now launched! I give the name, Shiny Silk.

I can wear this dengan pelbagai cara. Especially material ni boleh buat macam2 style terutama style macam Hana Tajima. (I will post the tutorial soon) There are five (5) colors available. I love all of it! I just took 1 piece, and I am controlling my self from grabbing all of it! Fuhhh!

why is this selendang is best? The materials (Shiraz Silk and Japan Silk exclusively from JAKEL) are super fine and sejuk and comfortable sepanjang pemakaian. I used to wear it twice in attending 2 formal events. Kalau hari2 biasa jangan cakap la. This is one of my favorite sebab senang nak iron, bentuk, and susah nak kedut.

Majlis Sanjungan Budi Lambaian Kasih SKBA

Budi disanjung, sambil melambai dengan penuh kasih… bukan kasihan

Wah wah wah… sungguh puitis nama majlis ni.

Majlis ini diadakan bersempena persaraan Guru Besar dan PK1 sekolah mak. (Eh.. apesal lak aku sebok join ni? Ans.: Mak perlukan assistant.) Majlis ini diadakan di Ixora Hotel, Perai. (Bersebelahan dengan Megamall Penang and exit ke jambatan Pulau Pinang).

Semasa majlis berlangsung, sempat jugak bersembang dengan salah seorang pengurus hotel tersebut. Menurut beliau, hotel ini baru mula beroperasi secara rasmi pada November 2011. (no wonder their interior design sangat exclusive and nampak baru and beautiful!). Hotel ni boleh mempunyai 350 rooms. Not bad huh! (I have forgotten to ask him rate bilik disini berapa :((  )

While walking to the function room, I saw ada banyak bilik untuk meeting/seminar/discussion and also there is one ballroom. Sangat besarrrrr and of coz cantik (ok2… patik mengaku i was skodeng this room).

Tema hidangan malam tu is Chinese foods… which means no spicy thingy and most of them tawar2 and based on kicap cair. Okla2… HEALTHY foods! But I think instead of having udang masak kunyit, they should serve butter prawn – baru la betul2 Chinese cuisine. But I do love their desserts especially puding jagung dengan gula merah (reka sendiri kombinasi ni sebab it suppose gula merah makan dengan puding sagu). Sedap sangat. And I love puding jagung yg texture soft mcm ni.

Off topic sket pasal toilet… I just went there untuk touch up. But then I saw ramai cikgu-cikgu balik from toilet dengan baju/handbag yang basah. WHy why whY? o_O Kat sini jugak disediakan surau. So kalau nk buat function apa2 memang senang sebab ada kemudahan semua ni. But I risau psal parking. Just ada 1 floor je kalu tak silap. How HOW how? (correct me if Im wrong)

First of all, thanks to Hana Tajima kerana memperkenalkan style baru memakai hijab. Ini menarik minat gadis-gadis yang selama ini free hair untuk bertudung.

I have shared a few inspired-by-Hana-Tajima’s styles berhijab. Now after a few months observing and finding the right material, finally I have made it.

Step 1: Setelah memakai inner tudung Anggun#2, letak selendang Lagenda#1 di kepala. Pastikan sama panjang.

 

Step 2: Cucuk jarum pada bawah tepi sanggul pada bahagian kiri dan kanan.

Step 3: Tarik pada tengah panjang selendang yang berada dihadapan ke bahagian belakang leher (bawah sanggul)

Step 4: Pin kedua-dua bahagian yang ditarik dalam Step 3.

Dah siap.

Alamoda Silk House adalah salah satu anak syarikat Jakel.

Sama la macam Ariani. There is no Alamoda or Jakel in Penang. One day, me and mak tengah mencari-cari kedai kain yang lain daripada selalu. And ada a few times jugak nampak banyak kedai-kedai kain area Sungai Petani ni and one of them is Alamoda. Randomly walk-in nak tengok dulu macam mana kain-kain yang ada di situ.

My Goal: Kain selendang yang berat untuk dijadikan Anggun #2

Sebelum ni kualiti memang dah okay. But I want kain yang lebih tebal. Sampai je di pintu masuk, kami dah disambut dengan friendly-nya oleh pekerja-pekerja dorg. They are wearing tudung exactly the same material like I am searching for. I stopped one of them and tanya what is the material tudung yang dorg tengah pakai. And they have directed me to the upstairs. Sepanjang perjalanan tu, I can say tak ada satu pun pekerja yang bermuka masam and they all looks very energetic. Semua senyum and greet us well.

Sampai-sampai in the targeted area, memang exactly the same kain yang selama ni aku cari. Lepas tu ada nampak kain yang baru sampai. Dorg tengah gulung. Polkadot! Ho Mai! Come to mama. Rembat la a few colors. Boleh tambah koleksi nak meniaga (SHOL). Pening kepala nak kira berapa meter nak beli.

Sementara tunggu kain-kain dipotong, aku and mak ushar la bahagian langsir. We have found this one English theme langsir. Cantiknya! and bidang besar. So no need to beli sampai 9 meter. 4 meter dah cukup. It save a lot! Then cari yang jarang pulak. Nampak ada 1 ready made langsir. We KIVed dulu sebab nak cari yang tak jahit lagi. Pusing punya pusing tak ada motif yang berkenan di hati. Finally we took the ready made one.

Owh did I told you that masa tu is the 1st day of SALE?

most of the jenis kain yg aku beli aku abeskan. Muahahaha! me and mak went crazieh shopping spree! The discount given is crazy low price…

And ada cabutan bertuah…

Owh ya, this is the lovely salesperson, Surayati yang setia dari awal sampai habis. Dengan dia senang. Cakap je nak buat tudung macam mana, langsir untuk tingkap macam mana, she knows berapa meter yang diperlukan.

 
Siap dorg tolong hantar sampai ke kereta lagi. Masa ni tak tau lagi rupa-rupanya beg-beg tu sangat berat.

Wishlist for 2012

2012 bakal menjelma beberapa jam lagi (kalau masa Hari Pembalasan baru 2 hari beberapa minit je kot) - okay.. I am not trying to scared you. Anyway... everyone is mentioning about azam lah, what happened lah... So I wanna list out my wishlist for 2012!

1. Pass Viva and master with flying colors. Dear examiners, please be nice to me! I have been waiting for so long.
2. Graduate Master (I guess with my former students) :P
3. Able to find a renter for my father's land and premis for any kind of businesses (warehouse, restaurant, Kedai 1Malaysia? owh! or Sports Toto?! Okay at this part, I am just just joking). Anyone interested? The location is in Sungai Petani anyway. Drop me your contact details.
4. Getting myself an electronic sewing machine (termasuk jahit tepi) - not too big not too small
5. Expanding my shawl (SHOL) business by improving the design (this is the reason I want to get the Num. 4)
6. I hope to find a job so that I can help myself with Num. 7
7. I hope I will be able to have a chance to further my study in the local university. Well... registration needs  $$$$. I guess I want to go deeply into IT Management field... if possible.

This lilitan selendang is a special request by a sweet girl name Adila. Dia dengan sendirinya approached and asked macam mana nak lilit selendang yang dipakai hari tu. That was such a brave action sis… and it’s good.

Dear readers, I ‘owe’ her a few months untuk create this tutorial. I have misplaced the shawl that I wore that day (Finally I came out with another shawl) and I have no time for editing. Due to that, saya mohon maaf atas kelewatan yea Cik Adila.

Jenis shawl tidak terhad kepada pashmina sahaja… boleh apply untuk semua jenis kain shawl.

Let’s starts with the tutorial.

Adjust selendang supaya senget sebelah macam ni.

Step 2:

Pin bahagian dagu

Step 3:

Ambil bahagian yang panjang. Lilit ke atas. Adjust sampai kehadapan (lebih kurang 1 inci daripada dahi)

Step 4:

Bila dah seperti dalam gambar (kiri), pin kan
