Woman, Mother, Working-Mother

Entry kali ini adalah untuk menghargai kaum wanita. No offense untuk lelaki.

The story starts like this. It has been a long time since I was living separately with my parents. Now, I have moved into their house and staying with them. I am enjoying my own ‘holiday’ here. Recently, I have spent more time to do woman’s things. WHOPS! not that before this I act as a man. In other words,  for about 6 years I had practiced less responsibility as a woman such as cleaning, tiding, laundering and etc. Now, I am trying my best to change that unpleased habit day by day. It’s my bad for not being able to allocate a part of my 24 hours to do these things before.

What makes me ‘lazy’?

I was unable to set my mind that cleaning and housekeeping is a part of daily routine. I was always give up when I see the place that I have cleaned before has turned messy and dusty just a day after the cleaning activity. Since I was working and studying, I was only able to do the housekeeping once a week.

Change happens…

I have finished my study and job. While having my own sweet time, I have decided to change my habit. My age is going to turn into 23 years old. I need to change my attitude and habit. Just to be a better person. I do cleaning, housekeeping, cooking, and laundering every single day. Believe me, IT’S REALLY TIRING! I do really respect a woman that is able to go to work and then managing the house without hiring a maid. The ‘job’ is much more tough when she has kids (we skip this one). ;)

Here is my daily routine:

Wake up for Subuh prayer – kemas tilam – basuh baju (1st round) – lap habuk (part 1) – sidai baju – sweep the floor – cooking – eating – lap habuk (part 2) – basuh baju (2nd round) – sweep the floor – sidai baju (2nd round) – lipat baju – exercise

Sometimes I have to go out to settle the bill and buy some goods.

All of these things need to be done daily to ensure the house is looking good and comfortable to stay.

I did all that activities during day time. Can you imagine for a woman who has to go to work in the office and do all of those things when they get back home? It is really tiring but some womans managed to do that! Bravo woman!

Dear working-mother, if you manage to do all of those routines, you can be called as a superwoman! I do really respect it! Kagum2.

Although the routine is tiring, I am willing to keep on doing it because I achieved one thing, satisfaction feeling! I feels very happy when I see my mother’s smiling face when she went back from work and see the house is clean and tidy.

Musim Durian Dah Tiba

Durian - Raja segala buah. Tak semua org boleh tahan dengan bau durian. In my family, I am the one who’s ‘hantu’ durian. One day masa OTW dr Penang nk balik kampung atok kat Perak, singgah la kat pekan nak beli buah. Tiba2 ternampak buah durian. I said to my bro, “durian tu sedap tak ha”. He replied, “P la tengok”. Then I was thinking about him. He couldn’t stands with the smells of it – pening kepala. Pity him pulak if dia pening kepala and kena drive lagi. Then I said NVM I can get it from Pasar malam putrajaya nanti. We just walk away.

After went back from kampung, my bro n dad were having boys-afternoon. They went out to get some air kelapa. Me and mak were cooking some delicious foods (next post) at home. When they get back, I saw a bag of durian. OMG… touching feelingnye. TQVM bro!!! Although the smells can makes you feel sick, u still get it for me!

Malam tu lepas ada space sikit dalam perut ni, cobaan membuka durian dimulakan.

I was showing off to my brother. I admit I know how to kopek this fruit.

Ouch. Tibe3 terkena duri. It doesn’t hurt at all. I just saw its bleeding. :(
Then my mum helped me <—she is a supermum. *heart* you mum!
She’s able to kopek it for me.



That night we’ve opened 2 bijik – literally my mum did it. Another 1 is remained for my dad -  he’s already fall asleep. I eat almost 90% of those opened. Fuhhhh kenyang sangat! I love to eat durian yang kaler dia kuning cair ni sebab rasa dia sngt soft and manis.

Pagi tu bangun2 tido, I saw my dad has left me another half of the fruit. I finished it all by my own. Yummy!



Tips… don’t forget to drink some water from the pangsa… many times pon takpe. This helps so much utk elakkan drpd panas badan akibat makan durian. I just follow petua org tua2. Tak berani la pulak tak buat kan sebab tak nak risk demam tu.

Dinner di Sup Urat Keting, Bandar Baru Bangi

Pada suatu petang, sewaktu pulang dari tempat kerja, tiba-tiba Cik Alia ajak dinner together. She fetch me from my home and went to the restaurant together. She said that she’s craving for soup. I have no idea where to go. Finally we went to Restaurant Sup Urat Keting (UK) yang terletak di SS7 Bandar Baru Bangi. I have never come to this place before.

Cik Alia ordered herself kuetiau sup – memang kene luku la kalau dia order makanan selain daripada sup kan. HEEEEE

This cuisine is served with some part of cow’s organs such as perut.

I have got myself this mee goreng (fried noodle).

Kemudian datang lagi 1 menu tambahan yang menggamit selera tersangat3… SATE ayam =p~

Sate ayam kat sini SEDAPPP! Cukup rasa masinnya, masaknya, moistnya. Nasi impit pulak dibalut dengan daun pisang. Fuhhh!

Hangout: ‘Old-Uni’ Friends

Though miles may lie between us

we are never far apart,

for friendship doesn’t count miles

its measured by heart

 

After about 1 and half years we didn’t gather at the same time and event, finally we meet on last Thursday. Lepaking, chatting, eating, photo session – rasa macam zaman uni (foundation) dulu je :D

Thanks Yana, Sha, Ezan, and Ili for coming. The day would be much merrier if Shira comes along. But she couldn’t be able to make it due to her work commitment.

 

Me and Yana came quite early that day. We went to some gadget shops. I was kind of ‘jakun’ to see the ‘new’ Mines because the last time I went to there was about a few years back (still under renovation).

When everybody is there, we went to Nandos’ to fill our ‘grrrrrlll’ tummy – very hungry.

Yana, Sha, Ezan, Ili - 4 of them with a packet of sweets from France.

Our ‘appetizer|starter’ is TGV’s popcorn that is very well known as delicious popcorn ever!

TGV Cinemas di Mines dah berubah wajah! This cinema looks really exclusive with the new look – cool!

We are heading to ‘taman permainan air’ (I forgot the name) located at the roof top of new wing.

Jika ikut hati, nak stay lama lagi utk lepak, tapi since dah hujan tiba2… tak dapat la nak lepak lama2. That day was a great day. Really miss you all.

Skin Problem Recovered

From the day I arrived in my lovely country, the weather is just fine – not extremely hot, gloomy, rainy. During the second week here, the weather is turning into very hot. I feel like the sunshine is ‘killing’ my skin. Until one day after a very hot afternoon, I realized my chin’s skin has some small tiny dotted texture. The dotted has spread all over my face through the night. I feel really bad and sad. Why Why Why?!!! I can’t wait until tomorrow morning to go for check-up.

Next morning, I went to an Islamic clinic in Bandar Baru Bangi. There were soooo many patient that morning.  Thank God I bring along my sudoku's book. Then I meet the doctor, explained my condition, she said don’t worry, it is the side effect of exposure to cold-dry weather before. I will be recovered within 2 weeks. During this period, I have to avoid any kind of chemical product. She gave me a small box of non-chemical cream, Aqurious (if I am not mistaken). This cream works very effective. Alhamdulillah my skin has recovered during less than 2 weeks. I applied the cream every time after I cleaned my face. I only use Johnson’s baby talc for my face. Frankly to say, I felt very low self confident to appear in the public without make-up + skin problem. Day by day, my skin has shown some improvements. I feel very comfortable, and simple for going out just with very light talc on my face. During this period, I took care of my foods. I only eat 'makanan-selera-kampung' especially ulam. And of course, back to HIM - I asked for Allah’s help to cure this problem. I believe. :)

Slurpee Tutti Frutti is Back!!!!!!

This flavor was the first of Slurpee’s flavor that I tasted – Form 5, Secondary school. It’s hard to find this flavor nowadays because 7Eleven has came out with some various flavors such as orange tangerine, mango bla3… I couldn’t remember those ‘cool’ names.

Tonight, I was like a little kids when I saw this flavor… “OMG… It’s tutti fruitti!!!!”. During I was a school kids and uni-teenagers, I was able to finished it in Giant size cup. But now,  I only pick the smallest cup. But that is enough to ‘cure’ my kerinduan for this drink.

Yves Rocher has opened a new branch – Alamanda Putrajaya. Since this is a new opening shop, the salesgirls are very friendly and helpful – same like in France. *thumbs up*

I look at the window and there are some promotion pack for perfume – I will drag my brother to come here soon. I get something for myself and be a member of Yves Rocher (my goal actually).

The lipstick from this brand is VERY GOOD!!! Its really moisturize my lips. This is a 'worth-it' product to get.

Smile… Smile… Smile…

Brother: Huh... brand mana?

Me: The same brand from France.

Me: Hye. Today I nak beli perfume set yg tgh sale tu (sambil straight to men’s perfume area)

… wondering why is the price is double pulak…

Salesgirl: That one is for cologne - For Her

Me: Gulp. Then yang ada miniature ni berapa? Can I smell it again?

… I smelled 3 perfumes …

Me: How much will the single perfume cost?

… Calling my brother …

Me: Wei, yg ada miniature tu is cost RM 1 more than without miniature.

Brother: NVM just get with miniature.

… Hang-up and keep on smelling …

Me: This one (without miniature) smells good. I will take this one.

Brother: Mana perfume?

Me: This. (while taking out from my handbag) – NO PLASTIC BAG DAY

Brother: Where is the miniature?

Me: Owh miniature tu is another set. This one is single and no promotion. The smell is much better than the one with miniature (without any guilty feeling for wrong information)

… I am letting him smells the samples on paper …

Brother: Hmm… wangi but I couldn’t differentiate them

Moral of the story:

• Need to prepare some extra budget OR just say NO to the goods
• Make sure check the type of perfume is for HIM or for HER
• Don’t get over excited while shopping because you will missed the important point/term

Unexpected Gift on My Table

Di pagi yang tak hening dan cuaca yang panas pada minggu ke dua di tanah air tercinta, I went to my lab (oooo cuaca panas.. patut la kulit muka tak tahan). And suddenly I found there is an envelop on my table. There is a badge and notes inside it. Its from my friend and also my lab mate, Nadhirah a.k.a nadh. It is really unexpected.

Thank you nad. I hope we can meet during our geng’s gathering. Sorry for everything too. All the best in everything that you do. Take care sis.

Big Cleaning Night for My Room

Since this room has been left for 2 months, of course the floor and desk are coated with dust. Although I feel really tired after travelling from Penang, I have to cleanup the room before I sleep.

As far as many people are concern with 01-01-01, 02-02-02, 10-10-10 and many more… I am also concern with this kind of unique number – blog’s visitor. This time I managed to capture my blog’s visitor number” 1234. Unique right? :)

Travelling: Nantes – Paris

I have to travel 1 day early because my flight is at 11am. It is quite impossible for newbie like me to rushing at the airport for flight check-in. Thank you to Egide, who sponsored my train ticket and nearest hotel for one night. :)

The journey from Gare de Nantes to CDG Airport takes about 3hr and 10 min. My train departs from Nantes at 1435 and arrived at 1747. Nervous, excited… I feel very happy! I enjoyed every single second while travelling. I said to myself, “Look… you will never get to see this view later. You are leaving FRANCE!!!”

After 2 hours…

Bila nak sampai nehhhhhhhh!!! Ngantuk seh.

Finally I arrived and fetch by Abu Hanifa and his cousin (I forgot his name). They fetch and bring me to the hotel, Hotel Ibis Roissy or its another name All Seasons Hotel.

Its time for check-in the hotel!!!!
