Dinner di Sup Urat Keting, Bandar Baru Bangi

Pada suatu petang, sewaktu pulang dari tempat kerja, tiba-tiba Cik Alia ajak dinner together. She fetch me from my home and went to the restaurant together. She said that she’s craving for soup. I have no idea where to go. Finally we went to Restaurant Sup Urat Keting (UK) yang terletak di SS7 Bandar Baru Bangi. I have never come to this place before.

Cik Alia ordered herself kuetiau sup – memang kene luku la kalau dia order makanan selain daripada sup kan. HEEEEE

Sate ayam kat sini SEDAPPP! Cukup rasa masinnya, masaknya, moistnya. Nasi impit pulak dibalut dengan daun pisang. Fuhhh!

1st of all, thanks for the invitation. Me and my family sangatlah berbesar hati menerima jemputan ke majlis reception yang telah berlangsung pada minggu lepas di Dewan Merak Kayangan, KL ni.

We arrived during both of them tengah bersanding. So while we are eating, all of the ‘procedure’ adat is ongoing on the stage – merenjis air mawar or tepung tawar.

I missed to capture the main dishes because its smell, and look really good AND it tastes REALLLLLYYYY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

So here is the dessert. I took this yummy creamy cheese cake.

This bride was wearing a very beautiful dress. I LOVE IT + her makeup looks really natural but stunning as a queen of the day. And here is the pelamin. Simple but so lovely with the flowers decoration.

I love the goodies given. Its a piece of cake with chocolate sauce as the topping. So yummy!!!

P.s: I don’t know if you remember or not in my previous post, I have mentioned about Safuan. He is one of my friend in France. He studies at the same place as where I have been placed.

Makan: Tauhu Bakar from JM Bariani BB Bangi

JM Bariani is another place that serves this delicious Tauhu Bakar (…selain nasi briyani ayam yang sedap!!!)

Kebetulan my brother has a meeting around here, we went out for having Hi-tea once after he finished his meeting. We couldn’t decide where to to eat and finally I came out with a suggestion to have this yummy ‘snack’.

Here, the tauhu bakar is served with thick peanut gravy + a lot of additional baked peanut on top of it. Although the ingredient is including taugeh (bean sprout), I couldn’t even taste the existence of it. This is good because for those who hate the smell of taugeh (like me), can also eat this cuisine. The vegetables taste also really fresh and crunchy. This is another reason for me to love this meal.

Cara Lilit Selendang Siti inspired by Hana Tajima’s ‘awning’ with Anak tudung syria

Panjang betul title posting kali ni. Tudung ni sangat simple and tak perlu risau senget ke terlipat ditiup angin ke. sebab awning dia memang tak tetap.

Bahan2 yang diperlukan:

  • Selendang panjang (Sponsored by: Selendang Hijab Online (SHOL)
  • 1 pin tudung dagu
  • 1 pin untuk atas kepala (jarum peniti pun boleh)
  • anak tudung syria (Nak dapatkan anak tudung Hana Tajima? Klik sini)


Step 1:
Pakai anak tudung syria. Letakkan selendang di atas kepala (even panjangnya)

Lilit kiri dan kanan ke atas kepala. tak perlu tarik yea. biar je dia loose. Pinkan. Make sure pin sekali dengan anak tudung supaya selendang terletak elok di atas kepala.

Lilit Selendang Pin di Bahu

There are many ways untuk menggayakan selendang. It depends on people, occasion and mood. Hari tu saja ja cuba lilit dengan cara lain. simple and senang je. Jadi, I would like to share it with 3ters here.

Langkah 1
Adjust selendang (lebih kurang 3/4) then pin pada bawah dagu. Untuk dapatkan hasil yang terbaik, tarik hujung selendang (for 1 side) biar sampai dekat tengah2 kepala, baru pin pada bawah dagu.

Langkah 2:
Tarik hujung lagi 1 sampai lilit ke kepala.

Langkah 3:
Tarik bahagian lagi 1 (langkah 1), Pinkan pada atas kepala bersama dengan lilitan langkah 2 tadi (lapisan langkah 1 di bahagian bawah langkah 2). pastikan ada lebihan panjang daripada lilitan Langkah 2.

Gulung/Genggam lebihan lilitan tadi.

pin genggaman selendang td bersama2 dengan selendang lapisan dalam dan baju supaya terletak elok di bahu.

Info Pemakanan: Krimer (Creamer) dalam Minuman

We always put some creamer into our drink to replace the use of milk. Even for common 3in1 drinks, one of the major ingredients is creamer. Do you ever think about what is creamer? Flour? Powder milk?

There are 2 types of creamer: dairy and non-dairy.

Dairy creamer (Krimer berasaskan tenusu)

Based on milk source (lactose)

Non-Dairy creamer (Krimer tanpa tenusu)

This type of creamer is an alternative way for lactose intolerant individual to taste creamy drinks. But this kind of creamer is made by many artificial ingredients. Berikut adalah bahan2 yang selalunya terkandung dalam non-dairy creamer; Pepejal Sirap Glukosa, Lemak Sayuran (trans fat), Natrium Kaseinat (casein protein), Pengemulsi, Penstabil dan Natrium Silikoaluminat.

Many non-dairy creamers contain partially hydrogenated vegetable oils, a type of trans fat. Example: Minyak isirung kelapa sawit. Kebanyakan minuman segera (instant) di Malaysia ni menggunakan minyak isirung sebagai non-dairy creamer.

 

Apakah isirung kelapa sawit?

Isirung adalah biji tunggal pada buah kelapa sawit. Bahagian ini kaya dengan minyak.

 

Adakah minyak isirung selamat dimakan?

Menurut seorang Dr. yang bekerja di fakulti yang berkaitan dengan pemakanan di salah sebuah IPT di Selangor, non dairy creamer adalah selamat untuk dimakan. Ianya dibuat daripada lemak palm kernel oil untuk mendapat rasa yang smooth. “Of course using low fat or skim milk adalah lebih berkhasiat dicampur dgn kopi or tea with less sugar. 3 in 1 also may have higher calories. So practise moderation and try not to eat too often”, tambah beliau.

Don’t get shock to know that some of non-dairy creamer may also contain casein protein (primary protein that is found in dairy products. Tips:

Bacalah label sebelum beli. Jika they only provides “non-dairy creamer” pada ingredient, ia berkemungkinan mengandungi semua/mana2 bahan2 yang disebutkan di atas. Kadang kala pengusaha akan melabel secara detail mengenai bahan2 non-dairy creamer ni.

Lilitan Tudung Bawal ispired by Hana Tajima

Tudung bawal boleh digayakan dengan pelbagai cara. Cara yang paling diikuti ramai adalah Butterfly dan W*rdin* (yang pin kat atas kepala tu).

Selain daripada itu, tudung bawal juga boleh digayakan dengan lilitan trend masa kini – style Hana Tajima. Untuk style macam ni, tudung tidak perlu ditarik ketat ketika dililit. Ini dapat mengelakkan tiba2 ada gelembung yang terkeluar dari lilitan dan leher berasa tidak selesa.

Sebelum memulakan demo, sediakan bahan2 berikut:
  • 1 helai tudung bawal kain cotton bersulam bidang medium (More Hijab:  Selendang Hijab Online (SHOL) )
  • 1 pin kecil untuk dagu
  • 1 pin tudung/jarum peniti untuk atas kepala


Langkah 1
T0002-1
Tak perlu melipat tudung. Pinkan bahagian tudung yang bertentangan dengan corak sulaman tudung pada panjang seperti dalam gambar.

Langkah 2
 T0002-2
Tarik dan kepit dengan jari bahagian separuh lebihan tudung dibahagian hadapan.

Langkah 3

Lilit sampai ke kepala. Pin kan buat sementara.

Langkah 4

Tarik separuh daripada lebihan tadi ke arah bertentangan dan lilit sampai ke kepala.

Langkah 5

Adjust sulaman tudung supaya berada di tengah bahagian hadapan. Cabut pin sementara tadi. Pinkan kedua-dua lilitan di atas kepala.

Hasilnya

Tudung ini sesuai untuk digayakan di majlis formal atau kasual dengan baju t-shirt/kemeja/baju traditional.

Tips:
  • Saiz tudung tidak boleh terlalu kecil atau besar sebab jika terlalu kecil, tak boleh buat lilitan untuk bahagian kiri dan kanan – tudung akan jadi singkat. Jika terlalu besar pula, bahagian kepala akan kelihatan sangat besar.
  • Fabrik tudung yang bersesuaian adalah cotton or kapas lembut yang mudah melekat antara1 sama lain.
  • Sulaman tudung dapat menyebabkan tudung bahagian bahu terletak rapi dan tidak mudah jatuh dan memanjang ke bawah.

Harga RON97 Naik ke RM2.50/liter

“Adooiii”, suara hati.
Sebelum ni ada dengar rumors mengatakan bahawa minyak RON97 akan naik lagi sepuluh sen daripada RM2.40 seliter. Semalam, cari la kat google and local news paper (online). Hanya ada 1 je hasil carian dari Google menyatakan bahawa harga RON97 akan naik lagi menjelang tengah malam 1 Februari 2011.
Hari ni, 1 Feb, bila pegi isi minyak, YES… memang harga RON97 dah naik. WOW. Peningkatan yang sangat mendadak sejak beberapa bulan ni. I still remember dulu bila isi full tank for my car will just cost me less than RM50. Then bila naik tahun lepas, less than RM60. Naik awal tahun ni less than RM70. And now naik lagi, sure less than RM80 utk full tank. *sedihnya*

I still remember dulu setahun sekali je naik minyak. Tu pon less than 10 cent skali naik. Now, kerap betol naik.

If this kenaikan is one of the way utk menampung kos tak naik tol selama a few years tu, baik la kekalkan kenaikkan tol seperti dalam perjanjian sedia ada, and tak naik kan harga minyak. Untuk org yang tak pakai tol (kerap) mcm aku ni, tak la effect sangat sebab memang jarang guna tol. Tapi ni minyak. Semua yang ada kereta/moto guna. Untuk yang guna minyak and tol, sama ja. Tak ada beza pun tol tak naik sebab duit kenaikan tu dah divert ke minyak – which will cost more.

Huh. I guess if our public transportation as efficient as in overseas (France for example), its okay for not having a car per people. But here, owh my. Memang kena cut certain budget and limit aktivity la kan.

Bertampal Bye-Bye-FEVER lagi la dahi aku ni

Yesterday when I was dealing with some program error suddenly my body feels very hot especially my forehead. I couldn’t think anymore. On my way back, I packed my stuffs and went home. I get myself Bye-Bye-FEVER from the nearest 7-ELEVEN. After I patched this thing at my forehead, I have a very good sleep until Asar and continue sleeping after Isya’.
